I See the Lord

A picture of the earth, water, and god

I see the Lord seated on the throne in heaven (this article was inspired by the song "I See the Lord" by Chris Falson).

I see the Lord watching everything that happens, every hair on every person, each hair that falls out, each hair that grows, each sparrow that falls (Matthew 10:29-31). He sees everything. He sees me right now. He hears me. He watches over me.

I see that the Lord is smart. He knows what He is doing. He is smarter than a million of the smartest human brains put together. He is the only wise God (Romans 16:27, 1 Timothy 1:17; Jude 1:25).

I see the Lord with all power and greatness. "Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast." (Psalms 33:8-9 KJV) "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever He will." (Proverbs 21:1 KJV) There is nothing too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:27). To Him belongs the magnificence for the spans of time of the spans of time (Galatians 1:5 BV).

I hear the Lord saying, "I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect" (Genesis 17:1 KJV).

I see the Lord directing His Son, His Spirit, His angels, His followers, and His enemies to do what He decides is best (Romans 8:28 ).

I see that though He seldom shows it, the Lord has a plan that is working and winning. It may not seem like it, but it is. His plan takes care of everything that happened yesterday, everything that is happening today, and everything that will happen tomorrow. There is no reason for me to worry or be upset. At the end we will look back and see how great His plan was, how His plan solved everything.

I see that the Lord has been kind and generous to me. He loves me more than I know. Thank you, Lord. I do not deserve it.

I bow down to the Lord. He is great. I am nothing. He must increase. I must decrease. I am your servant, Lord. What can I do for you?

OK, I do not see the Lord. He is invisible. But I know these things are true. For now I will trust you, Lord. But someday I will see you seated on the throne in heaven. What a great day. Prepare me for that day.
